Sporting Club East Bengal, commonly known as East Bengal Club, is an Indian professional football club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. Founded on 1st August 1920 by Suresh Chandra Chaudhuri, Ramesh Chandra Sen, and Aurobinda Ghosh, the club has been a cornerstone of Indian football for over a century.
The club competes in the Indian Super League (ISL), the top tier of Indian football, and holds a record number of Calcutta Football League titles. East Bengal is renowned for its intense rivalry with Mohun Bagan, known as the "Kolkata Derby," one of the oldest and most fiercely contested derbies in world football.
Our colors, red and gold, symbolize sacrifice, courage, and prosperity. The club has been a nursery for numerous Indian national team players and has a massive fan base known as the "East Bengal Brigade" spread across the globe.

- 1997: Won the historic "Triple Crown" – the National Football League, Federation Cup, and IFA Shield.
- 2003: Achieved a landmark victory in the ASEAN Club Championship, defeating ASEAN powerhouses.
- 2020: Entered the Indian Super League (ISL), marking a new era in Indian football.
- 2023: Reached the semi-finals of the Indian Super League, our best performance to date.
The club has produced legendary players like Chuni Goswami, Subrata Bhattacharya, Bhaichung Bhutia, and Sunil Chhetri. Our philosophy has always been to promote young talent while maintaining a competitive edge with experienced professionals.
Beyond football, East Bengal Club has departments for cricket, athletics, and other sports, contributing significantly to Indian sports. The club's tent at the Maidan in Kolkata remains its spiritual home, where fans gather to celebrate victories and discuss football.
Currently under the ownership of Emami Group, SC East Bengal is poised for a new chapter of success, aiming to win the ISL title and represent India in continental competitions like the AFC Cup.
